A missing É«ÇéAPPµ¼º½ student was found safe about 7:30 p.m. Tuesday night after an extensive police search.
É«ÇéAPPµ¼º½ police Lt. Matt Carmichael said the 20-year-old woman was distraught and considered at risk when she walked away from her apartment in the Orchard Park housing area on campus about 2:45 p.m.
Police asked for the public's help in finding the woman, and issued a photograph of her and a description of what she was wearing when she disappeared. Two police helicopters searched for the student until dark, and two search-and-rescue specialists and their scent dogs were also involved in the search.
Assisting the É«ÇéAPPµ¼º½ police were the Sacramento and Davis police departments and the sheriff's offices of Yolo and Sacramento counties.
